What is the best way to hook the ball for a left-hander like me? At the moment I stand a little to the left of the lane and when I'm about the release the ball twist my hand clockwise about 90-180 degrees (it varies, I'm not sure on an accurite amount) as I release the ball.
I'm not really sure but I believe the method is called "Backup Ball", to me it's not a very stable method of bowling as there is chance it can go all wrong, then again I've not had the oppurtunity to bowl in a month or two so it may just require a bit of practise.
Are there any alternate methods of Hooking which can produce better results, I am going to try and use this method next time I go to the alley because it looks more what I'm trying to achieve.
Unfortunatly I don't bowl dedicatedly I can only go to the alley when I have the oppurtunity, student, no money etc you know?
Cheers
