Elite? You mean the waaaay over priced Brunswick balls? If you look they are nothing but old Brunswick cores with modern covers. I've heard good things about them but I've never actually seen anyone throw one. They are just way too expensive I guess.
have to throw out my .02's I use the green alien as my benchmark ball - and i love it!perhaps the best all around ball i've thrown. It's great for reading new lanes or oil patterns. I got it on sale for less than 150 (still expensive) but for a really solid and predictable - no bad habit ball - i consider it money well spent. HOWEVER i have to point out this coverstock just soakes up oil. i have to deep clean every 20-30 games to maintain consistancy. I also have the chamealion which is outstanding for short oil needing to play the outside.
