Went to the open house.. Tried out the Storm Shift and Storm Special agent and the Roto-Grip Oddesey..

The lanes were a little slicker than I'm used to.. I used my Radical as a bench mark and it wouldn't quite finish as hard as I'm used to. Plus on the right hand lane, there seemed to be a slick spot around board 8 about halfway down. If I hit it.. i'd nail the 6-10 pocket.. lol

      Storm Shift
The pin was about 4" to 4.25" from my PAP, CG was about 3.5" from PAP (kicked out a little). The KEY (mass bias) was just to the right of the thumb hold. This ball is STRONG. Nice long skid and A LOT of backend motion, however it does not "snap". I'd say long and strong continuous backend motion. It hits hard. It struck everytime i was even close to the pocket. Even a few brooklyns and high hits struck.

On a easy house shot, if thrown too far out, it seems to recover well (if there's not a slick spot out there).

I checked the pro-shop there for the price of the Shift and they wanted $229 (including Drilling). Instead I ordered me one from BowlingIndex.com for $147.95 + $14.30 shipping. I'll come back and post a review after I try it in league..

      Storm Special Agent
Not as strong as the Shift. But still out-hooked my radical inferno. Had to move right 5-7 boards to get to the pocket. Didn't seem to recover well if thrown too wide.. had a few strikes and left a few 10-pins.. Hook-shape was alot smoother than the Shift. I might have done better with it on the shot i'm used to. I wasn't all that thrilled with it here though.

      Roto-Grip Oddesey
Overall hood is compariable to my Radical inferno, but the hook-shape was smother. Seemed to be a rather week hit. Doesn't rev up like the Shift did. Had a couple of strikes, but most of my pocket hits left a weak 10 pin.

Never had much luck with Storm stuff. Always been partial to Lane #1 and Brunswick but I have heard good things about the Shift. May just have to give Storm another shot.

I use to use storm but got away from it. but the pyro I won is pretty good so far.
I love the rotogrips now though. Really good balls

I've had several Storm's in the past.. I liked the first Erasure.. (won $3,000 in a thanksgiving tournament with it several years back).. but other than that, just never been real consistant..

But I'm bowling better now than I ever have before, so thought i'd give this one a try.. lol
