    i have thinking about buying a urethane ball, or am i just wasting my money.

    It's not waste if that's the type of ball you need for the conditions.

      as litefrozen said, urethane balls are great for the right condition. A urathane ball generally will give you a smoother more controlled hook. They work great on drier lanes. They have less tendancy to over react when it hits the dry boards.

      When the heads are toasted, a polished urethane ball will get down the lane better.

      What type of condition are you bowling on that makes you want a urethane ball? What do you use now? What is your bowling style (ie. stroker/tweener/cranker, axis tilt/rotation, speed)? The answer to these types of questions will help determine what you need.
