    reactive coverstock

The Smokin Inferno is what I throw it has a activator advanced coverstock,400 grit sand with high gloss polish, the ball looks great but over all I love this ball it goes long and has a wicked snap at its finish, this ball kills the pocket. The smokin infero by brunswick is also a very predictable ball,I would recommend this ball to anyone.

Another GREAT ball would have to be The Brunswick BVP Rampage...even set up for a small hook it has a very BIG backend on it! I also will agree with Smokin_Inferno75 with their comment about the Smokin Inferno...however your choice...Smokin' Inferno Stats...Rampage Stats

        Roto Grip

The New Silver Streak SE will give you a great value for your money... just over 100 bucks. Pearls usually react skid/flippy, but it is a blend of pearl and solid pearl... that smooths out the reaction some but gives you a better read when the oil carries down as well. I just got the Roto Grip EPIC and shot 725 (298) with it.

These balls will perform well with very predictable reactions. Use pin placement and coverstock preperation to fine tune it to your track and style of release, and to match up to your lane conditions.

        Good Luck!

          An Old Rookie!!!

I have been out of bowling since I was 16 years old (I'm currently 31). That's the last time I bowled in a league. . .16 years old. I have bowled, on average, 2-3 times/year since I was 16. Last spring (Jan '05), I was asked to join an adult league, which I quickly agreed to, since it was next door to my office. I quickly bowled a 3-game average of 171 and continued weekly since then. I finished last season with a 179 average (233 high game), both career highs. The ball that I used all last season was a Columbia 300 Ricochet Rebound. Loved it! Aggressive and punishing as hell!
Anyway, here's the moral of my story. I decided to buy a new ball (for no other reason than to just have another). I bought the sequel to my first ball. A Columbia 300 Reaction Ricochet (reactive cover). I started using this ball in Sept '05, and in 4 months of use, my average is now 196, and I have bowled my first three 700 series'. . .721 (258), 767 (275), and last week, a 713 (267).
I don't know what everyone else thinks, but that's improvement with a capital "I." I will continue using this ball, but have no idea what I should go to when this one dies out?

I believe these two balls, Ricochet Rebound/Reation Ricochet are both retired and a little difficult to get, but I have to suggest either one of them.

Look what they've done for an old rookie like me!!!

If you want long try the Absolute inferno as another suggestion, I've had a few shots go astray and it's come back to the pocket unexpectedly. It hits hard too! Also the Storm Paradigm is supposed to be good to, haven' used it yet but head people who have it talk about it.
