strange practice today...

went to bowl some practice games today to get my Trap some games on it and also to work on my setup in my stance with my feet. first game shot a 256, then after I throw my first shot in the 2nd game they turn the lights out and turn the cosmic bowling lights on for a fundraising tournament. I was able to barely see my target as my aiming point is the dots in this center, and somehow I was able to throw the next 9 in a row for the front 10 strikes...in the dark...before getting stopped by a 4 pin and a 289. bowled the 3rd game in the dark as well for a 245, and a 3 game series of 790. just before I started my 4th game they turned the normal house lights on and I finished with a 236.

just a very good day of practice and shows me what i've been working on is starting to pay off. might be my last chance to bowl for a month or so as i'm going out of state to work for a month and don't know if i wanna take a couple of balls with me and bowl while i'm in Tennessee or if i'll even have time. might be working 12hrs a day, 7 days a week. wish me luck...lol.

not a bad start monday night winter league, 730 series 245-248-237 lot of little mistakes but pleased. when you dont bowl all summer your timing becomes tuff to get used to again...

This week I had a 652 in our Friday morning league my games were 194+212+246=652 I used my ebonite playmaker and the hammer black widow nasty the pin carry was tougher the this week, I had a lot of 10 pins, I had two open frames in this weeks series and still had a 652 that tells you about the carry,

Tonight bowled 224, 244, 233....701. Won the 1st and 3rd matchpoints and lost the 2nd.

Senior Scratch Classic league 235, 172, 166...573. It just got worse and worse.

This week I had a 705 in our Friday morning league, my games were 247+225+233=705 I used my ebonite playmaker and had to move my mark closer to the foul line get the 10 pin out, I had 3 open frames in this weeks series and used a 2000 abralon pad on my ball before we started.

haven't got to bowl in two weeks, with another two weeks to go. can't wait to get back home after this temp job is over.

9/17 TGIF League


-183-195-269 = 647 Series, 3 game average 215.66


-got home a week early from my temporary job in Pulaski, TN., drove back Friday morning and made it home just in time to shower/change and head back out the door to the bowling center. started off slow, but gradually got better. was very tired after driving 8 1/2 hrs just to get home, but was worth it. also glad I got home early as I am the Secretary of this league and the person I had covering for me has an entirely different way of doing things. gonna take me a couple of hours to get things straighten out to my satisfaction, then have to go talk to the League Coordinator on Monday to get a few of the leagues details figured out.

Bowled in a tournament this weekend in a house that I had never been inside of in Wichita, Kansas. Started out Saturday with a 158, 224, 267...649 in singles. Switch lanes for doubles and I had 191, 215, 206...612. Came back today for team and bowled 213 (4/9 split), 225 (2 4 pins and 2 10 pins clean game), 247 (1 7 pin and 2 10 pins clean game)...685. 9 game average of 216.22. Didn't win any money because I had zero pins handicap and most people were getting 60 to 75 pins!!
