Anneke's scores for September 16, 23, 30 and October 7, 2010

Hi Everyone!

I have actually been back to bowling for a few weeks now. And each week my scores and average have both dipped and climbed. But so far I am happy with where I am.

My scores for September 16, 2010 were:

1st Game: 84
2nd Game: 85
3rd Game: 98

I bowled a 267 series and started the season with an 89 average.

My scores for September 23, 2010 were:

1st Game: 91
2nd Game: 69
3rd Game: 85

I bowled a 245 series and my average dropped to an 85

My scores for September 30, 2010 were:

1st Game: 98
2nd Game: 116
3rd Game: 115

I bowled a 329 series and my average improved to a 93

My scores for October 7, 2010 were:

1st Game: 115
2nd Game: 120
3rd Game: 89

I bowled a 324 series and again my average improved to a 97.

10/8 TGIF Couples League


- 213-266-212 = 691 Series, 12 game average 231.75

-kinda limited myself tonight by making myself stick with my Grind and not my Plague. was a little slick for the grind the first game and just didn't move in during the third game like I should've. The team managed to take all 7 points again for the fourth straight week, hoping to ride this winning streak for a while.

A consistent if not a great night. 195 (1 open) 215 (clean game) 215 (1 open) ..... 625 series. Left a lot of 10 pins and 4 pins.

SKC matchpoint scores 189, 214, 192...595. I bowled really bad tonight. Can't blame it on anything other than I just did not execute.

Senior Scratch Classic 170, 164, 179....513. This is a scratch league and the highest series on the 1st eight lanes was a 543!!

10/13 Wed Early Mens League


- 144-162-187 = 493 Series, 15 game average 183.07


-Another f***ed up night at Town N Country Lanes in Washinton, MO., again. They still do not have the lane machine fixed properly and really don't seem to give a damn either. Was almost as slick as it was a few weeks ago when the sensor went bad and flooded the lanes.

- went back to my Plague tonight. need to be less stubborn when I know I need to make a move. waited until the 10th frame of game two to move two-and-two to get back solid in the pocket.

Anneke's scores for October 14, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Well this week was a pretty good week for me. My scores were a bit low, but I did manage to bring my average up by a pin.

My scores for October 14, 2010 were:

1st Game: 109
2nd Game: 97
3rd Game: 105

I bowled a 311 series and brought my average up from 97 to 98.

Yeah 30 clean frames! 1st game 279 (7 pin in 3rd frame) 2nd game 246 (1st 4 then 10 pin, 3 bagger then fast 8 in 9th frame, 1st strike in 10th then 6/7/10) 3rd game 238 (1, 9 pin and 3, 4 pins)....763.

10/20 Wed Early Mens League


- 239-246-243 = 728 Series, 18 game average 193.00

-Finally had a decent night at my problem center. Stuck with my Trap all night, only making a slight move left over the course of the night. Also, went into the night with a much better mental attitude than I've been bowling at this center with. I think I just got tired of bowling in a bad mood and realized how negatively it was affecting my bowling. I made a concerted effort to keep my mental concentration focused throughout the night and also worked on keeping my footwork straighter and not drifting so far from left to right. Both seemed to help a great deal.

Anneke's scores for October 21, 2010

Well this week my scores were low.....I didn't even hit my average. YIKES!!

My scores for October 21, 2010 were:

1st Game: 97
2nd Game: 94
3rd Game: 89

I bowled a 280 series and my average went from 98 back to 97.

Oh well! There is always next week. I hope all is going well with everyone else on their league night(s).

10/22 TGIF Couples League


- 229-236-267 = 732 Series, 18 game average 235.67

-another great night with the Plague, used it all 3 games and the only move needed all night was a slight move backwards with my feet to get rid of the ringing 10 pins I started leaving.

- so far having a spectacular beginning to the season on Friday nights. don't know how long it'll last, but I'm gonna ride it for all it's worth.

Well I had a pretty good night this past Wednesday. Again, my games are 5 pin so don't let the scores throw you off. I had 9 marks in my first game and threw a 278. Second game I racked up 8 strikes in a row which I've never done before. I bombed the final 2 frames from nerves but still managed a 352 and then finished off the night with a measly 204 for an 834 triple! That so far is the high game and high triple of the year so far. These games also brought my average up to a 238
