The worst bowling in 20 years. Machine breaks down so lanes get stripped but don't get oiled. Old men trying to throw the ball 35 mph! High series 513, low series 422!!
170, 154, 170....494. 1st time I haven't broken 500 since my first trip to Nationals in the 70s.

Tonight's bowling a little better but couldn't carry. 202(1 open), 204(7/10 split 1st ball in 10th), 182(8/10 and flagged a 10)...588.

SJBAD League (South Jersey Bowling Association of the Deaf)

A nice fresh coat of oil before practice. I used my ebonite NVS. Ball wasn't grabbing the right way, but I got it after practice. First game was ok. I had to keep reminding myself not to speed it up since the oil is fresh. Shot 210 the first game. The second and third game, my usual line and breaking point came back. Shot 238 second game and 269 the third game.

Ending result: 210-238-269= 717.

My average has been flip-flopping from 219 and 220 since week 7.

- 231 - 183 - 195 = 609 Series, 78 game average 231.72

- house is still playing with the new oiling machine, still have some tweeks to do. was a great shot the first game then the heads just went away. still trying to adjust.

-bowled in the other house tonight, rough start but finally made the correct ball change in the 3rd game.

- finally getting the hang of the pattern the new oiling machine's been putting down. also, before i started i touched up the surface of my Hammer Brick with a 2,000 Abralon pad and it seemed to bring it back to life.

- 158 - 242 - 169 = 569 Series, 12 game average 204.08

- was a very painful night of bowling. pulled/strained a groin muscle Fri evening while bowling and it only got worse on Sat night. couldn't find a comfortable approach in the first game so I changed balls, and found something in the 2nd game that wasn't painful, but it came back with a vengence in the 3rd game...hope this is better by next week...
