Has anybody had success at the USBC Open in Albuquerque? How did you play the lanes? If you didn't do well, what would you do different if you had another chance?

Well I guess I can respond to this now. I just got back and all I can say is "boy, its good to be home." If any of you smelled a really strong odor over this weekend it was me stinking up the place in Albq.
I shot a shot a huge 450 in team. The surface on all my equipment was totally wrong. I had my Ultra Zone at 2000 which wasn't nearly enough. So combine that with the fact that I kept missing right and you end up with a very long day!
The next day for singles and doubles I took my Ultra down to 1000 which allowed me to open up the lanes a bit. I had a much better look at the pocket but I didn't convert a 10 pin all day. The scores were a little better with both sets in the 550 neighborhood.

When hunting ten pins, it is always a good idea not to spook them. So be very, very, quiet next time, they'll never hear you coming. Remember, you have them cornered
