3 New Types Of Bowling Lane Patterns By Kegel - OK I went to a trade show on monday and at the seminar Kegel was there along with other manufacturers. It looks as if the industry is leaving this area up to the bowlers. Example is there is now 3 different types of patterns that kegal is focusing on and in each area of has four types - recreation is easy house shots - challenge is the tuff but not impossible condition - then sport the tuff stuff - they are dividing them in to different foot ages and ratios like easy is 5 to 1 or higher challenge is 3 to 5 to 1 and the sport is 3 to 1 or lower there are 4 programs in each category - they are leaving up to the bowlers to vote on the type of league pattern you want if your league want easy then it is recreation if your league wants challenge then you bowl on the challenge series or sport -- they say when given the choice most the bowlers are choosing this new challenge series. The information is on the kegel web site if not now it will be soon.

    Think this is it.

You had my curiosity going so I looked up what you were talking about. I found this article. It made for interesting reading.

Wouldn't mind trying some of the more challenging patterns, but my house won't run them. To afraid of hurting the feelings or chasing high average bowlers away.
Be very, very, quiet please, I'm hunting ten pins and it's easier when they're not spooked

Same type of trouble I run into

This is the same type of trouble I run into in a small town with only 1 or 2 time a week bowlers that are only out for a night out - and think easy lanes are hard. In the city some of the classic bowlers would like the challenge patterns but not in my local asso.
