Well I just started my tracker so I dont have many of my high games up yet gonna have to get some new ones
But in any case when I reached about 8 strikes in a row the excitement and nervousness is hard to control what keeps you from going crazy .I always end up biting my nails to the tip lol.Any tips on keeping your cool or do you get calmer the more it happens?

I'm far from an expert on the matter, but..
When I shot my 300 (years ago).. i was actually writting code for this site on paper between eacj shot.. so never paid attention to the game the whole way through..
You just have to find a way to keep yourself relaxed and remind yourself, you've just thrown 8 great shots, why should the next one be any different..
Don't overthink the shot or exagerate your armswing. You'll almost always throw it harder or lift more, if you do. Just go through your normal pre-shot ritual and know that it's going to be a good shot.

Yes my father says the same thing.Always reasure your self and just to play my game. The highest i have shot so far is a 279 high series is 712 .I still have many years to come still 17 so hopefully i will get lucky one day and hit the 300 game but i feel like a 800 series is harder to get.
I have seemed to notice your mostly the only one answering questions. So where do you bowl any way if ya dont mind me asking?Last edited by Scotty; 10-23-2006, 08:33 PM.

I try to help as much as I can.. as we get more members then it should liven up in here some.. That's my goal anyway..
I bowl in Euless TX now.. but I have bowled leages in several of the Dallas area centers. These are my current leage stats:
Yes.. I think 800 is more difficult than 300.. although i've only had one 300, i've never shot an 800. My highest is 771 and that was 6 years ago.
17 huh? Your doing well.. keep at it.. At 17, i was only averaging about 190..lol

I bowl in maple lanes in brooklyn new york.Sunday vacation league hehe.So far we are in first place but it feels like position week every time we play lol just once i want to verse a push over team lol.I have 2 good bowling balls but there falling apart my strike ball is the predator its pritty reactive on all types of lanes but its cracking between the finger tips .My other one needs to get its finger tips put back in they came out after to many games lol.Pritty soon iam gonna be out of bowling balls.

Here's how i fix balls that crack out between the fingertips.. but it only works if you use inserts.. I usually wait until it cracks completly out (chunks get loose). Then dig all the loose chunks out between the inserts.
Then, at the grocery store, you can find a clear apoxy called Lock-Tite. It's in a double syrenge looking thing. Mix a bit of that up and pour in between the finger inserts until it's level with the top of the inserts. Be careful not to let it overflow.. It usually starts setting in about 5 minutes and cures completely in 24 hours.. It also gets VERY hot when it setting.. hot enough to melt one of those little brittle plastic cups..
It doesn't look like much because all the air bubbles don't come out, but it's functional, and since the ball doesn't roll over fingertips, it doesn't have to be perfect. I've never had one break out again after doing that..
I've done this several times..

I may have to do that .One ball is down and out for the count from it i think i will try it on that ball or play some money games againts the old timers and get enough to have the proshop repair it.The one good thing about being so young is that most of the older gamblin bowlers brush me off as a scrub till i beat them
I usualy bowl better under pressure Its more fun.
Thank you alot for the help and wisdom you have shared .Last edited by Scotty; 10-25-2006, 07:50 PM.
