  • "________" <- Super-sonic squeal...

    I had a very good nite bowling tonight.. 288 + 258 + 260 for a sweet sweet 806 series.. My first ever over 800.

First Game: Got the front 10 and went way high and left 2.

Second Game: Shoes stuck a little on first ball and l went light leaving the 2 pin. stuck again and missed the spare to the right. (Had a wet spot on my shoe). 2nd frame left a 4 pin and spared, then struck through the 10th followed by an 8/spare. (I think that's all accurate)

Third Game: Stepped up on the approach and could tell my shoe wasn't sliding. Looked at it and had another wet spot. Cleaned but still stuck a little and left a 4 pin. spared, and struck out, except for throwing a gutter in the 6th, which I spared (hit my leg with the ball).

Few lucky breaks here and there, but all in all a pretty consistant shot..

    800 series

    BT,

Congratulations on the 800 series. Hopefully your league was sanctioned. I have 2 800s and 2 300s that are not sanctioned. bowled in a brunswick employee league and they voted to not be sanctioned, what a bummer!

But I have 3 300s that are sanctioned and I just rolled a 299 July 15 that is sanctioned. Still on the quest for that sanctioned 800 series. My sanctioned high is 769.

Great series, I love to hear when someone does well.

Great series BT! I was just talking the other day about 300's & 800's. I thought I'd rather have a 800 than a 300, 300 shows you bowled great one game. But 800 series shows you did great for 3 games.

      So well bowled BT!

Very nice indeed! Glad ya didn't do that on Thursday against me! The whole wet shoe thing sounds somewhat familiar for some reason.

I didn't think i'd ever get an 800. I've had plenty of low 700's and maybe half a dozen around 750.. my previous high series was 780 about a year ago and a 771 about 8 years ago.. This makes my 4th honor score, that last 3 being within about a 14 month period. I believe I'm the most proud of the 800..

Very nice, glad to hear the bad luck with the shoes didn't cost you the 800. Takes a lot to not let something like a wet shoe ruin an awsome series like that. Again cograts .
Be very, very, quiet please, I'm hunting ten pins and it's easier when they're not spooked

              Congrats BT!!

That's some fantastic concentration to overcome the wet shoe, and pull off the 800.

I can see why you are so proud of the 800+ series. I think it's the one that shows you mastered the lanes for a night. The 300 shows you had a flash of brilliance, but the 800 means you owned the lanes.

Great job on the 800, wish I could've done the same... I smashed out my finger holes during practice last week, I've never seen anything like it, the cover cracked and the inner layer between the fingers moved to the left about 1/4" needless to say the other ball I brought wouldn't work on the condition, but I got lots of spare practice.
                Congrats again.
