I started feeling pressure right where my thumb and palm meet this year - kinda feels like tendons are moving - once I throw a few practice balls it goes away or I don't feel it anymore - this effects my mental prep time as I usualyl drive to the alley with my hand tightly wrapped around the steering when applying pressure to the area to help reduce the time to physically work it out.
I have all my balls beveled and thumb plugs inserted - the span feels great on my hand as the pro shop I attend know me well and they help me anytime, so I don't think it's the span (short/long) but I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue and possible ways of solving.
I know I should prolly go to a Dr, but I know they will say "stop bowling for a few weeks/months" and cost me $100 for the visit. I will not stop doing this as this is my only past time outside my owned business. I spend a lot of time in my company so bowling is my second passion and I NEVER miss a league night or chance to practice.
BTW - a few mental prep suggestions I read on here, I tried last Wednesday - shot 670 with my middle game leaving (4) 9 pins and (2) 7 Pins and I felt relaxed and confident with my shots. I only recall 2 shots I threw way wide (to the right) but they recovered to the pocket late and left 10 pins. Thanks for the mental awareness post and I will continue this structure over and over and see how it does. (Keep your head in the game, ALWAYS)
