Which one do most people prefer theese days. and why. I have a black widow in the conentional grip and the secret agent in a finger tip and I'm still not sure which style I like best, remember untill recentlly I hadn't bowled since the wooden lane days so I had theese two balls drilled this way so I can see which I like better.

grips?
I use exclusively fingertip grip with no inserts, but I do use a thumb slug. That is my preference. I prefer the feel of the ball on my fingers.
The advantages of fingertip grip are: the ability to generate more revs on the ball because your thumb comes out first and your fingertips act like a lever on the ball generating many more revs than a conventional grip release can. Once one gets a consistent release they will find their ball has way more hitting power due to the increased revs on the ball. Also your accuracy will increase once you master a consistent release.
With a conventional grip your fingers go into the holes up to the middle joint. This really inhibits most people from attaining a better rev rate.
The Semi finger tip grip is rarely used because your finger goes into the holes between your 2 joints- a very uncomfortable situation in my opinion.
But then again that is why there are 48 flavors of ice cream. Experiment with your old equipment and find out which grip is best for you.
