I have to say that after all the ups and downs this year - and learning the whole new forward roll - things are starting to look up. I have never been as consistent in my life as I was the past 2 weeks. My lowest series is a 650, highest is a 730. I can only recall once or twice a night that I missed the pocket - mostly from speed (being soft) and crossing over. But - I took the same approach to a sports shot this past Friday evening, averaged 205 over 6 games - I even had the "trying to make famous" hambone on that shot. I only missed 3 spares in 6 games so this forward roll I have learned - is taking me to places I can compete at.

I have a few tournaments coming up within the next few weeks, so hopefully this will continue to progress.

    Regards.....

Update to this continued success - Last night was a "zone night". I shot 7 games - first 3 were league (subbing on a team) I just stopped up there to see if anyone needed anyone. I started off didn't miss the pocket and got carry on all 7 of my practice throws - then threw the first 10 in Game 1 - ended with 289. Second game, shot first 7, then back to back 8 pins - finished 268 - Last game - didn't move like I should have, but still hit the pocket (some were high - leaving 4 pins) but finished with 247 - My First 800 in league - 804. I won $398 in jackpots and $110 in brackets. Very consistent and pocket carrying night. I even had a guy that wanted to shoot afterwards in pot games. So - wth, I said. Of course they wanted to switch lanes, lol . After about 20 minutes of figuring how many pins I would give him, we decided on scratch for $50 a game. I never give anyone over 180 pins, they are just smart enough to pull out a great game.

Anyway - first 4 balls (throwing No Mercy) as I did in league were all coming high, leaving 4 pins or 4-7 and 1 4-9 from the moves I made, so I pulled out my BW Wizard, knowing I move 5 marks left from my No Mercy - moved 3 since I polished my wizard a few weeks ago for a tourney - I strung the last 8 in the first game winning that game, lol. Then shot 1 more for $125 so he could win some money - it was his smack talk suggestion, so I said sure. I'm all for giving . Second game - I shot 12 (300)- after the 7th strike, he started packing his bags - I have never threw the ball so consistent and that wizard hit like I never saw it do before. It was the first time throwing that ball with my newly learned forward roll release - but from what I learned that night and luckily my coach was there watching the whole thing. He patted my back, shook my hand, and asked me to shoot a game for $200 against him. I smartly declined and he laughed. I knew I was getting tired - and in the past when I kept going - I lost. Learn from everything you do, on good nights, bad nights, and nights you don't score as well as you throw. Always bowl your GAME!!! Never anyone elses, especially your coach - they are always trying to teach you something - even if it cost you. He congratulated me on knowing when to stop.

3 days later - back to reality - but I realize I didn't throw the ball as well as I did the previous league night, and I didn't get any carry. I was not staying down on the ball and somewhat had the varying release points. I knew I was tired when I got there, but it was a good learning night - still ended with 610, and still bettered my previous record of 9 counts. 19 for the night, (only 9 strikes) mostly 10 and 7's, but did have a few 9 pins. lol. The rest of the frames were 1 8 count, and the others splits. Still had fun and got to listen to many others telling me I was getting screwed all night. Funny thing about that, I didn't feel a thing!
