  • Pba experiance league

I tell u guys what...im not the worlds greatest bowler but these patterns are harder than anything ive ever bowled on...i average around 200 and on this league my average is only 138....if u get a chance bowl on one...its a great learning experiance

yeah, its amazing what happens when they take those high performance balls out of the equation and make you make decent consistent shots. Really shows how much most of us use equipment as a crutch.

But through all the pattern frustrations, if we all continue to bowl on these PBA patterns, just imagine - We all go back to a season on a house "octopus pattern" you know, the 8 lines to the pocket house shot, we will be so much more accurate and while everyone else is playing all 8 lines, we could playing 1 with 2-3 board varies. Keep up the PBA leagues and watch as the house avg's increase.

just my .02 on the PBA patterns. Our house bowls the jr bowlers on them and keeps 2 lanes on one pattern and another 2 on another pattern (changing each week). seldom will you see folks bowl these, but i try to get some time on each pattern of the week - maybe just 2 or 3 games each. but by playing these lanes i am begining to pay much more attention to the ball path and learning sucessful game adjustments to them.

i agree with jhays one this one. even thought they are frustrating at times you can learn a great deal from them and help your game.

            good bowling all

I bowled a PBA Experience league last year through the summer. It was awesome. Yes, difficult..but it was worth it. It helped me to become more accurate and consistent than before.....

Although I find the pba shots to be very easy, I do agree that it is a great learning experience. I average around a 219. I did alot of studying for the 5 patterns and got equipment drilled for each pattern. I only use ebonite balls. Only my total nv is drilled with a skid/flip layout and use it on the cheetah. All of my other balls are are drilled to have an even arc. I find the most frustrating thing to be bowling with people that don't understand how to play the patterns.

You find the patterns to be easy? Frustration with others that don't know how to play the patterns? Hm, no offense here - but isn't this a typical league shooting with teammates on house leagues? There are many that bowl on house shots that don't know how to play the lanes and some of us find it easy. We don't score great all the time, yet we think it's easy. That's the problem here - what we think is easy is exactly what the USBC is not paying for these days. And we are playing right into it.

BTW - your the first person ever I've heard state PBA patterns are easy. You've broke the barrier - :Takes off hat and nods:

I have bowled a PBA Experience league last summer and this fall
my last book was 194 on house shot
i only bowl on the pba Experience now
cause it gives you a true avg. I am just hopeing they dont vote it out
all the 230 avg bowlers are a bunch of cry babys
