Before every shot, I always "wipe" ball with towel, some bowlers have told me not to do this, let oil Create track around ball, How much truth is there to this? or is it just a myth?. more than one person have mentioned this to me. it just makes me wonder.

Well.. i tend to think leaving the oil on the ball makes it more inconsistant.. because it's not always going to have the exactly the same amount of oil. I always wipe mine off.. before each shot..
Now.. i can see that if you have a ball with very little or no track flare, and the heads are very dry.. but have a little oil mid lane.. then not wiping the ball can help you get through the really dry heads.. That's the only time I would not wipe my ball before each shot..
