ya, the Corner was released on Jan 12th, and I got my drilled on the 13th. ball is definately stronger than the original. also, got a BW Nasty drilled up that I'm hoping to use tomorrow night at the other center that I bowl league in. will post those scores when I get home tomorrow night. will also try to post pics of both balls to my photobucket account so people can see the layouts on both balls.

Nice Shootin I did not think the corner was out yet - I will get mine a couple weeks.

Anneke's scores for January 7 and 14, 2010

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Last week after bowling on Thursday, I went to Indianapolis for the weekend and when I got home, I was too tired to get online to do anything.

However, the last couple of weeks of bowling have showed improvement and I have been happy with my scores.

My scores for January 7, 2010 were:

1st Game: 97..... Not over my average
2nd Game: 88.... Not over my average
3rd Game: 119.... 28 pins over my average

I bowled a 304 series and my average went up from 91 to 92.

My scores for January 14, 2010 were:

1st Game: 118.... 26 pins over my average
2nd Game: 84.... Not over my average
3rd Game: 114.... 22 pins over my average

I bowled a 316 series and maintained my 92 average.

I hope everyone has been bowling well.

1/15 TGIF Couples League


- Wife's scores: 173-105-101 = 379 Series, 48 game average 155.02

-My scores: 204-214-226 = 644 Series, 51 game average 221.86

Well this week I bowled twice, one in my normal Friday morning league, then as a sub in a Friday night scratch league. Both outings were in two different centers. I had a 706 series Friday morning with games of 256+193+257 for the 706 I used my magic with 2000 abralon on the right lane and playmaker on the left also with 2000 abralon surface. Now Friday night I will say I do not match up well in this center on this league I had a 584 series with games of 193+213+178 for the 584 series. This shot seems playable but I feel like I am just A hair off or I almost got it figured out, but never do. Well I do not bowl there much so I guess that’s my excuse, but other bowlers tell me the shot is tougher this season in this league. I just do not match up well there. I used my playmaker with 2000 abralon too.

1/20 Wed Early Mens League


-224-249-290 = 763 Series, 66 game average 211.27

-used my BW Nasty that I had drilled up last week Wed. also had a Jigsaw Corner drilled last week.

-can't wait until i get more games on this ball, this was the first time i'd used it in league and only threw one game of practice with it.

- I had a total of 27 of a possible 34 strikes, with five 9 count spares, and also 2 single pin wiffs. nothing less than a nine count

Tonight's bowling scores...204, 203, 269 for 676. 3rd game needed to strike out in the
10th to win by 1 pin, sure feels good to come through for your teammates.

1/22 TGIF Couples League


-wife's scores: 168-179-172 = 519 Series, 51 game average 156.08

-she used her Ebonite Evolve all three games.


-my scores: 213-214-279 = 706 Series, 54 game average 222.61

-used my BW Nasty all night; had 26 strikes, 2 - 8 count spares, and 2 - 9 count spares and 3 single pin wiffs (a 7 pin, and 2 - 10pins).

- third game started with the front 8 Strikes and then left a ringing 10 pin in the 9th and spared it and struck out in the tenth.


- had a guy on the pair next pair to our left shoot a 300 Game the first game of the night, and he ended with a 765 series.

- he took over High Average by 0.04 or 2 pins from me. He has 12,023 pins and 54 games for a 222.65; I have 12,021 pins and 54 games for a 222.61. The race is on!

I have a 182 average. Last night I bowled a 290 in the first game. My previous high score was 268 last year. I only threw two bad balls...the first frame the ball never came back to the pocket so I wound up with a spare and in the third frame I wound up going brooklyn. All the other balls were perfect in the pocket hits. Threw the next 11 in a row and then threw one in the first frame of the next game for 12 in a row. Second time ever that I've thrown 12 in a row the last time was 8 in one game and 4 in the next.

I have never thrown the ball as consistent as I did last night. I wish I could bottle that consistency because in the other two games I started thinking instead of just throwing the ball and was trying to throw the perfect ball the whole time and couldn't do squat...I fell apart. My series wasn't as good as it should have been but I'll always have my 290.

This week I had a 668 series in my Friday morning, I posted games of 247+215+206 for the 668 series. I did have 3 open frames, 2 were splits both were the 4,6,7 pins in the second game the ball over reacted in the dry area of the lane and I missed a 10 pin in the 9th frame of the 3rd game. I did try a couple different bowling balls this week a Storm Reign and a Columbia 300 Full Swing, I used the Reign on the left lane and the Full Swing on the right, both had 2000 abralon surface. I will note I liked the Full Swings reaction at the pocket, the Reign was good the first game then game me some over/under.

Today I decided to bowl in our monthly scratch tournament, it is a 5 gamer. Well I got to bowl with 2 of the areas best bowlers and both were nationals champions, one of which had a 300 game and had 30 strikes in arrow; he was top seed for the day. Now my scores I was 105 over for the 5 game and had an open every game. I used my ebonite magic with a 2000 abralon finish on it. I was happy I bowled this month, but never cashed. I just had 2 many opens and to many bad shots. I am not bowling as much as I was 3 years ago ether.

Anneke's scores for January 21, 2010

Well this past week was a good one for me. I had one great game and my average improved.

My scores were:

1st Game: 122 - 30 pins over my average
2nd Game: 96 - 4 pins over my average
3rd Game: 96 - 4 pins over my average

I bowled a 314 series and my average improved from 92 to 93.

1/27 Wed Early Mens League


- 268-236-202 = 706 Series, 69 game average 212.32

- really bowling well with my BW Nasty; three straight 700+ series with it. last wed (1/20) was a 763, fri (1/22) was a 706 and tonight (wed 1/27) was a 706. 2,175 nine game total for a 241.67 average.

- failed to make the proper adjustment in the third game. I moved left and still kept my hand under the ball at about a 6 o'clock position. I thru two splits in the 3rd & 4th frames before I changed my hand position to about 4 or 5 o'clock which allowed the ball to have a more even reaction on the backend. Needed to throw the first two strikes in the tenth to win the game and ended up striking out. Team took all 7 points for the second straight week.
