Today I had a 639 in our Friday morning league. I had five open frames this was the worst I had bowled for a while in this league, but I am nursing a tennis elbow problem, man it hurts. Well enough of the excuses I am not a 234 average bowler anyway. I had games of 232+205+202 for the 639. I did leave more 10 pins today and the carry has been tougher at this center the last three times I bowled there. In addition, I am in a little bit of a slump in all the centers I bowl in as well. I like the high scoring environment myself. I use the magic on the right lane and the playmaker left. I do think I used the wrong ball in the playmaker today, as the conditions seem to be more in and out to the dry rather than down to the dry.

- wife's scores: 155-161-128 = 444 Series, 54 game average 155.63


- my scores: 276-194-198 = 668 Series, 57 game average 222.61

- started the first game with the front 8 strikes, then got fast with the speed in the 9th and left a 2-4-5-8 bucket and picked it, and struck out. second straight week I've had the front 8 on this league...only a matter of time.

Anneke's scores for January 28, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Last week's bowling scores were a little bit rough. It had been a stressful week, due to one of my classmates, who I had known since kindergarten, being killed in an auto accident on Sunday, January 24th. And I was in a fog all week.

My scores were:

1st Game: 79 - Not over my average
2nd Game: 131 - 38 pins over my average
3rd Game: 87 - Not over my average

I bowled a 297 series and somehow maintained my 93 average.

I am hoping that this week is a better week. And I hiope you all have been doing well on your league(s) nights.

2/3 Wed Early Mens League


-184-238-238 = 660 Series, 72 game average 212.64

-started the night with the BW Nasty, couldn't get comfortable with my armswing for some reason. switched to my Jigsaw Corner in the tenth frame of game one and shot back-to-back 238's to pull out the 660 Series.

-highlight of the night personally, I went 7 for 7 on picking up my 10 pins.

DRY backends tonight. 200, 188, 215....603. Had a total of 8 splits.

Well this week I bowled better with a 748 series after a couple weeks of kind of struggling. I had games of 234+256+258 for the 748 series. I did have 2 open frames both were missed 10 pins. One in the first game and the other in the second, my third game was clean. I used the Brunswick Seige today with a 1000 abralon finish. The ball matched up pretty good today Even though the left lane was tighter than the right, I feel like I made the right ball choice

- wife's scores: 188-174-195 = 557 Series, 57 game average 157.21

-she bowled really well tonight and raised her average 2 pins, she used her Evolve all three games.


- my scores: 224-233-225 = 682 Series, 60 game average 222.85

- used my Hammer Jacked tonight, lanes were a little slicker because of the cold weather. also made all my 10 pins (4 or 5).

Anneke's scores for February 4, 2010

Well again this week my scores were not all that up to par. I would put my ball on the ramp and and aim it the way it looked like it should go, and it would go completely different. At least there is still time to pick up the pace before the season is over.

My scores were:

1st Game: 62 - Not over my average
2nd Game: 105 - 12 pins over my average
76 - Not over my average

I bowled a 243 series and again somehow managed to maintain my 93 average.

Oh what a frustrating night. 1st game 205, 7 ten pins but I picked them all up. 2nd game 188, 3 ten pins got them all , but 2 7/10 splits. 3rd game 194, 5 ten pins and missed 2 of them. I tried 3 different balls and 4 different lines. NEVER missed the pocket all night but could not carry the 10 pin.

-214-236-170 = 620 Series, 75 game average 212.40

-took my Sauce along with me tonight and used it the first two games, worked pretty well. then the oil seemed to disappear the third game and I started with 3 splits on the left lane. lanes were flying on the back end. shoulda switched to my Hot Sauce but instead went to my BW Nasty which has been pretty controllable...until tonight, ball was really breaking on the backend. lessen learned.

Anneke's scores for February 11, 2010

Hello Everyone,

Well it seems everyone has been doing well on their leagues. That is great to read.

I had an OK night this week. I had at least two games over my average, even if they were only two pins over my average. I was happy. My scores were:

1st Game: 95 - Two pins over my average
2nd Game: 95 - Two pins over my average
3rd Game: 85 - Not over my average

I bowled a 275 series and my average dropped from 93 to 92.

I was really trying to go for a triplicate, but it just didn't work out that way. But there is still time and there is always room for improvement.
