3/17 Wed Early Mens League


- my scores: 202-225-206 = 633 Series, 90 game average 212.88

-didn't feel to well bowling tonight, still have the leftovers of a cold and a deep hacking cough that's both painful and annoying. hope it's all gone by Friday night...

Tonight's scores 235, 216, 254.....705. Missed a ten pin in the 2nd game for the only open.

Today I had a 630 in our Friday morning league. I had one six open frames today my games were 150+266+214 for the 630. I used the ebonite playmaker and I used 2000 abralon on the coves tock wet by hand. Hand a bad start and a good middle game the whole league struggled today. I felt the shot was fine I was just out of sink.

Anneke's scores for March 11, 16 and 18

I can't believe how fast this month is going and I have been neglecting to post my scores.

We had our team tournament night on March 11, and unfortunately, the bowling gods were not good to me at all!! My scores were:

1st Game: 86
2nd Game: 111
3rd Game: 91

I bowled a 288 series and had a 96 average. Thank goodness this did not count for the regular season. But our team didn't fair very well during tournament night.

Then we bowled this past Tuesday, March 16 to make up for a week that we missed in January, due to the terrible winter weather. And I really think I should bowl on Tuesday nights instead of Thursday because my scores were really good... at least I think so.

My scores were:

1st Game: 106
2nd Game: 116
3rd Game: 115

I bowled a 337 series and my average went up from 93 to 94.

And then we bowled our regular league night on Thursday, March 18 and I didn't do so great! My scores were:

1st Game: 101
2nd Game: 88
3rd Game: 92

I bowled a 281 series and my average went from 94 back to 93.

I will not be bowling this coming Thursday, March 25 as my family and I will be traveling to Indiana to celebrate my great aunt's 100th birthday. But I will be back on April 1st.

3/19 TGIF Couples League


-wife didn't bowl tonight as she had to work late.


-my scores: 256-268-236 = 760 Series, 78 game average 225.19

-bowled on lanes 19-20 tonight for the fourth time this season. I seem to really like this pair as I've shot a 767-706-781-760 = 3,014, 12 game average 251.17. It's the same pair I shot my very first 300 game on back on Sept. 28th, 2007, and my second 800 Series(an 826, still the House High, although it has been tied).


-also had something interesting happen after most of the League was done. a gentleman, approx 65 years of age was open bowling with what I'm guessing were his grandsons and thier friend and bowled a perfect 300 game the first game. i believe it's only the 2nd 300 game in practice that's ever been witnessed so it was pretty cool.

Man did I struggle tonight. Hit the pocket twice the whole 1st game for a 154. Came back with 2 clean games for a 212 and 216 for a 582 series.

I finished with a 225 average in our city tournament, we got 2nd in team and last check in my second team. I bowled good in both team events, but struggled in singles and doubles, my scores were 742, 728, 581, 654 just couple not carry in singles and doubles. a lot of 10 pins and a few 8, 10 splits.

3/24 Wed Early Mens League


-210-185-208 = 603 Series, 93 game average 212.49

-kind of an embarassing night tonight, at least in my opinion.
we were bowling against a "blind" so we had to shoot within 60 pins of our team average to win the points per our leagues rule. Our team average was a 773 so we had to shoot a 713 to take the points. 1st game was okay as we shot an 840 scratch, but the second game we only had a 708...missed it by 5 lousy pins. I got up needing to double and I got the first one, but was unable to get the second one to go. The 3rd game we came back and shot a 794 scratch, so we ended up with 5 of the 7 points possible.

3/26 TGIF Couples League


- wife had to work again tonight so our sub bowled in her place.


-My scores: 233-247-299 = 779 Series, 81 game average 226.47

-have any other righthanders expressed their utter distain for the dredded 10 pin? LOL Had the front 10 all solid in the pocket, sent the 11th one a little wide and didn't know it it was coming back hard enough to carry, but it did. I threw the 12th one as good as I'd thrown it all night, but it left a RINGING 10 pin and I could here the crowd behind me all let out a collective sigh...lol might've been a little faster and firmer than the rest, like a "frozen rope" shot, but still was good enough it could've carried.

-so now my scores are in a row: (2) 300's, (3) 800's, (4) 298's, and now (5) 299's
