- wife's scores: 166-141-166 = 473 Series, 81 game average 156.32


-my scores: 254-195-178 = 627 Series, 90 game average 227.63

688 with a Ebonite Playmaker

This week I had a 688 in our Friday morning league my games were 246+206+236=688 I used my ebonite playmaker with a 2000 abralon finish and a 50x4.5x40 dual angle bowling ball drilling layout.

4/21 Wed Early Mens League


- was Sweepstakes night tonight.

- my scores: 255-231-183 = 669 Series, 105 Game average 213.71

- everything was based on handicap scores tonight, so with 21 pins a game, my scores were: 276-252-204 = 732. I won a little extra money for the 271 and 252 games, and also the 732 series, so all-in-all a good night.

Thursday night men's league scores, 236, 248, 219...703. had 2 opens flagged a 10 in the 1st game and a 4/6/7/9 split in the 3rd game. Left 3 nine pins and 1 eight pin.

This week I had a 672 in our Friday morning league my games were 227+218+227=672 I used my ebonite playmaker and the hammer jigsaw corner the pin carry has been a lot tougher the last few weeks, a lot of 10 pins, I never had any open frames in this weeks series and still had a 672 that tells you about the carry, it has been tough to get strings of strikes lately, well this was our last week, next week is fun day and banquet.

4/23 TGIF Couples League


- wife's scores: 155-164-158 = 477 Series, 84 game average 156.42


- my scores: 237-279-199 = 715 Series, 93 game average 227.98


- 2nd game had the front 9 before leaving a 10pin, got the spare and struck for the 279.

- 3rd game went: X 9/(10pin) X 81(7-10split) X X 9/(10pin) 6/(3-4-6-7split) 9/(10pin) XX7 for a 199. tough carry but did make the split so it could've been worse.

What a bad night of carry. Had 2 opens all night and shot 598. 219, 189(1 open), 190(1 open). My 3rd series under 600 all year.

Though I love to play the game I have not been very good with it yet. And right now with the scores you revealed, I'm embarassed to tell you that I only get an average of 160-175 in the games I played. This is why I said I wanted to learn strategies or techniques for this game.

don't worry about what scores you shoot right away. over time and the more you bowl your scores will improve. the best thing you have going for your right now is your love of the game. with that you'll strive to learn and get better and sooner than you think your scores will be on the rise. a 160-175 is a very good average range to be in if you're just starting out. the more you learn the better you will become, just don't let anything discourage you and always be openminded to trying new things. when you try something new it make take a while to get the hang of it, but stick with it and you'll see the results sooner than you think.

Started a summer SENIOR scratch league. It is awesome to see 80 year olds carrying 200 averages. Let's me know that I will still be able to bowl when I am that old. It was at a house about 30 miles from me that I had never been in before. I was actually nervous about bowling for the first time in ages. I shot 179, 205, 226...610.

Anneke's scores for April 15, 2010 and end of the season banquet results

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I am behind once again on posting my scores and other things.

I ended our season on an OK note, I was happy.

My scores for April 15, 2010 were:

1st Game: 102
2nd Game: 132
3rd Game: 103

I bowled a 337 series and maintained and kept my 94 average.

Our end of the season banquet was on April 23rd and we came in 8th place out of 12.

I hope everyone has been doing well on their leagues.

- Was position night tonight...


- Wife's scores: 165-188-128 = 481 Series, 87 game average 156.55


- My scores: 237-227-225 = 689 Series, 96 game average 228.03

- We moved from 6th place to 4th place for the second half, and we also finished 3rd for the first half.
