This week I was back to bowling after missing last week due to being sick. I had a 701 series in my Friday morning league. I posted games of 245+246+210 for the 701 series. I did only have one open frame a bad shot and left the big four on the second game. The lanes seem to be drying out the last game the last couple of weeks and I seem to lose my ball speed for a few shots. Well I used my Brunswick twisted fury solid on the left lane and the Brunswick siege on the right; both have 1000 abralon pads on them. Once again, I love these abralon pads if you do not have them you really should try them. They keep my ball reaction more consistent.

11/25 Wed Early Mens League


-217-193-193 = 603 Series, 42 game average 211.45

-not a very good night score wise, but I was 8 for 8 on my 10 pins which is a good thing.

more lane breakdowns in Game 3 and I could never get my timing back after waiting 10 minutes between shots.

- wife's scores: 151-166-144 = 461 Series, 33 game average 156.85


- my scores: 246-264-257 = 767 Series, 36 game average 221.36

- used my Jigsaw #2 that I had the surface changed on last week. you can see the layout if you click on the link under my arsenal. I had the surface changed from OOB to: 500 Abralon, then highly polished, and finally very lightly hit with a 1000 Abralon pad. Works great for me now. So far I've shot 707(last Wed) and 664(last Friday), and now 767 tonight. Total of 2,138 for a 9 game average of 237.56.

- Used my Jigsaw #2 that I won in Hammerbowling.com's contest back in Sept I believe. Finally got a pic of it up in my photobucket account so you can see it if you click on the link under my arsenal. Had the surface changed on it last week from OOB to: 500 Grit Abralon, then highly polished, then very lightly sanded with a 1000 Grit Abralon pad. It reacts very nicely for me now. Since the surface change I've had series of 707 (wed 11/18/09 at Washington), 664 (last Fri 11/20 at Union), and now this Fri 767 for a total of 2,138 and a 9 game average of 237.55

This week I had a 719 series in my Friday morning league. I posted games of 247+258+214 for the 719 series. I did not have any open frames I even picked up the all my 10 pins. Still the lanes seem to be drying out the last game. Well I used My Brunswick Siege on the right lane and the Ebonite Magic on the left; I used 1000 abralon pad on the siege and 2000 on the magic. Then I bowled an annual sweeper on Friday night it is a 5 gamer the scoring pace is so high they had 62 entries and it took 195 over to get the last check. I only averaged 213 with a 1067, I was not carrying just getting hard to compete even with scores I use to cash with will not cash anymore. I usually average about 230 to 235 in this tournament and I cannot cash anymore with that. It is not that I am bowling worst it is just the other people are averaging better.

I managed a 253-163-126 last tuesday. The first game i had 8 strikes in a row. A first for me . Then I fell Apart the last 2 games.

Anneke's scores for November 24, 2009

Since Thanksgiving was on Thursday the 26th, and that is the night we usually bowl, our league has decided this year that if a holiday falls on a Thursday, we will be bowling that Tuesday.

My scores were:

1st Game: 88
2nd Game: 93
3rd Game: 78

I bowled a 259 series and maintained my 91 average.

I'm happy with that... the lanes only broke down once and my shot held up. used the SD-73 classic all 3 games, missed 2 spares both 9 pins that I didn't use my plastic spare ball for (Idiot!)

12/2 Wed Early Mens League


- 197-183-200 = 580 Series, 45 game average 210.24


- was a brutal night tonight for everyone on the league. something apparently happened with the lane machine causing it not to clean the back ends like it normally does. was kinda like bowling on ice, no backend recovery whatsoever. the only recovery area i could find was about five feet in front of the pins, but hitting that spot consistantly with the right speed and target was very difficult. the center thinks they know what the problem with the machine is, and hopefully they'll have it fixed by next week.
